I heard Paul Goddard, Gigi Edgley and Lani Tupu were going to be coming to Atlanta and immediately started making plans. Four of us made the six hour trip up to Atlanta and made it in time for The Chamber event.

Now when talking to coordinators from this event they all said costumes were "strongly encouraged," they really wanted the colorful spectacle of costumed 'Scapers... I had my Chiana costume from DragonCon, but man oh man was I feeling like an uber-geek dressing up like Chiana when the actor who plays Chiana would be there. My anxiety was pushed aside the second Gigi saw me and exclaimed "You look f*cking fantastic!" *beam* Gigi rocks.

Actually everyone in The Chamber rocks. I'll admit I was very nervous about going to a fetish club. I've only been to two clubs in my entire life and didn't particularly like either one of them, clubbing just isn't my thing... to go to a fetish club was a huge scary leap into the clubbing world. When we got there, our D'Argo met us out front and informed us that we could forgo the line and the cover fee, we also got to be first in line for autographs and they wanted us to do a stage show. Uh... okay.

I'd describe how the inside of the club looked... but since I was dressed up as Chiana and I had dark contact lenses in, I couldn't see crap. It really was like wearing dark sunglasses indoors... with the lights turned off, yippy.

I noticed when we got in the club that despite the request that everyone come in costume there were basically ten of us in costumes... ten out of like eight hundred, and five out of the ten already knew each other from DragonCon. Our DragonCon group alone supplied an Aeryn, Rygel, D'Argo and random Peacekeeper. Yeah, now I felt like even more of an uber-geek. I paid for a picture with all the Farscape actors and that's when I first semi-saw Paul. He was a very nice brown blobbish shape sitting behind a booth. next to another brown smudge, and another brown phantom. Lots of unclear brown shapes walking around the club thanks to my Chiana contact lenses. :)

I took pictures with everyone and was surprised that Gigi pulled out her own camera when we posed together. *g* She wanted a picture too. That's when I realized just how cool the Farscape cast is.

Remember that little stage show D'Argo (Todd) mentioned earlier on? No? I didn't either until a few hours later and Jason (the guy who's in charge of the club) approached me again to remind me about this stage show.

He told me, "There are several Nebari so I'll have a VR set and you'll come out one at a time and stand on stage."

"Just stand? I don't have to dance?" (VR? What's VR? Nah don't ask Loren, just go with the flow.)

"Nope, just stand."

"Okay cool."

Before we get onstage I once again ask, "Now I don't have to dance right?"

"No, it's just a VR set up and you'll all just pose there... you'll be onstage for all of like thirty seconds."

"Oh cool... OH VR! Virtual Reality! Like a video game!"

"Yeah. It's all improv."

"Oh, okay cool, I can improv, I'm good with improv."

My worries aside I happily stand backstage as the first Nebari goes out... wait... wait a second...she's not just standing there, she's... she's dancing! She's not just dancing she's, she's doing that bump-n-grind, happy time kinda dancing. Oh, oh no... I don't know how to dance like that! Hell I don't know how to dance to techno period let alone do any kind of happy sexy yippy skippy dance! Oh no, no, no, please no.

The second Nebari goes out and begins to do the same thing.

Kill me.

I count my thirty seconds and go out as well. Oh, oh geez, I can't just stand there, aw... aw man... I start dancing too. Now I'm a pretty good dancer... in musicals with choreography, but I don't think words can describe my inner panic attack onstage trying to dance knowing that lots of Farscape fans are watching and going "who does she think she is dressing up like Chiana? She's no Chiana! When's Gigi coming on stage?"

Finally the music ended (thirty seconds my eema! I was dancing up there for way more then thirty seconds!)

Then the good stuff happened. The crew came out and started talking to the audience... and I got to sit directly behind them. *beam*

Just when I thought it was over music started again (god I hate dancing) and I started dancing with D'Argo, I turn around and see Paul is dancing in my direction! Oh god what do I do?! Ack! So I grin and kinda dance back (I'm so not in my element, please oh please let me have choreography in the future!) and then we all leave stage...

The cast was all insanely wonderful and posed for many a picture backstage with all of us costumed goof balls. We all stuck around until the club closed, then said our goodbyes, went out on the road... got lost for two hours, found our hotel room, they all crashed and I spent an hour scrubbing white makeup off (and oh was I jealous that night. I was exhausted and I could hear their cheerful snoring whilst in the shower trying to convince my skin that though I'm of Irish heritage, snowy white is NOT my natural skin tone) four hours later we were all awake and back on the road three of us already making plans to go to Orlando for the cast's next appearance. (after all it was a six hour drive to Atlanta, but only two hours to Orlando therefore it couldn't be missed!)
