This was a con that featured Lani, Paul, and Virginia who I had never met and wanted to meet.

So, on Friday, moonbebe flew in from Texas and I picked her up from the airport and took her back to my place. We hung out, talked, drank a little (well, I did) and ate. Watched the season 4 premiere together and then talked with Leaford on the phone. Then, off to bed at 1230 to get up at 330am so we can get an early start on the road.  

We make it to the Con and find it is very disorganized. No one knows anything.  Moonbebe and I grin and bear it. In line, we meet Annie BW and her husband John. She's the one with the great music videos. Fun talk we had while waiting. Finally, make it into the Con hall and generally mill around for a bit while dealers are still setting up. Run into the Crais Cohorts group that included Bialar, Missee, NMCrichton, CraisTralk, CraisIsMine, PKLibrarian, and CaptainMoriyganLeri. We chat for a bit and they look great in their Crais gear.

Standing off to the side, Moonbebe and I see Virginia, Lani, and Paul enter the hall. I promptly run over to the Crais Cohorts and tell them. So, off we all go to the chaotic autograph line. All of us had Gold Tickets yet were furthest back in line. Chaos is the only word. But, once again we bitch and whine to ourselves and grin and bear it. 

Finally, moonbebe and I make it to Paul who is great looking in person. He's got longer hair now and the most charming accent. We talk with him a little and I confuse the poor man with the spelling of my name. He personalizes an autograph for both me and moonbebe and we smile and he smiles and we thank him. A real sweetie. NMCrichton, who was in line before us, gives Paul a wonderful drawing she did of Stark South Park style and that she put on a shirt. 

We move on to Lani. Okay, let me say this here and now, I am not deviating from Ben but Lani is a FINE looking man in person. He's got the greatest smile and it lights his eyes up. The Cohorts are n front of us giving him gifts upon gifts and his smile comes out often. I make it up to Lani and he smiles at me and we chat for a bit and he personalizes an autograph for me as well. Then, I ask for a picture and he says "Sure" and Moonbebe snaps a picture of me with Lani. The Cohorts snap some too. Prove the leader of the C-Crew did pose with Lani. 

Next we move onto to Virginia. Let me tell you, if you have not met this woman, you should. She is a wonderful, wonderful lady who will talk to you like she's known you forever. I tell her my b-day has just passed and she gives me a high five for being a fellow Gemini. Imagine the smile on my face. She is a strikingly beautiful woman in person, very tall and very exotic. She got to calling me dear and darling right away. She personalizes a picture for me and then talks to both moonbebe and me about her site. I ask for a picture with her and she smiles and says "Of course" She leans over and envelopes me into a big hug and moonbebe snaps that shot. She thanks me and I thank her and we move on. But, if you ever get the chance to meet this woman, do it. She is the most wonderful person and will talk to you and hug you like she knows you. 

After that, we mill around a bit and finally find out when the Farscape Q&A session is. We make our way upstairs and sit down. Paul, Lani, and Virginia all come out to a nice round of applause and Virginia starts jumping up and down and almost comes out of her blouse. People laugh and she tells them to shut up and not to post that on the internet. The Cohorts all swooned when Lani did his Crais voice and asked him to do it twice. We find out that Paul likes to write and play music and Lani wants to learn to DJ. Virginia comments that she's shy to which the audience laughs and she turns red and tell us to shut up again. We find out that Virginia has two cats, Paul has cows, and Lani has two cats. Lani has quite a funny story about his cats getting into some eel he was making and then stinking up his house with their litter. A short Q&A but a funny one nonetheless. We all then head back down to the Con Hall where Virginia, Paul, and Lani pose with about 30 Scapers for a group photo.  

We make it back to the Con for the second day. A little more organized today. We mill around and look at various merchandise and paraphenalia. Virginia, Paul, and Lani come back to sign more autographs. We are over talking to Paul and he mentions another Q&A session at 4 that day. Moonbebe gives Virginia a photo of XenaJules and Virginia to her and then a photo of Lani and Xenajules to him. We mill about a little more and then head to Phillips for a lunch. I leave early with moonbebe and drop her at the airport and then head back to the Convention Center for the Q&A. Meet back up with the Cohorts.
