Paul Goddard is probably best known to American fans for his work as Stark
on the Sci-Fi Channel's hit original series Farscape. Stark's first
memorable appearance came toward the end of season one as the unstable Banik
slave who gets caught up in the adventures of John Crichton and the crew of
Moya.
He reappeared halfway through season two and was added as regular cast member in
season three. After leaving at the end of season three, he turned up again in
season four as a guest star.
Paul appeared briefly in the
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie in
1995, played the son-in-law to Farmer Hoggett in the award winning Babe,
another
production associated with the Jim Henson Creature Shop, in 1996, and portrayed
Agent Brown in the visually stunning The Matrix in 1999. Shortly
after The Matrix he worked on Jane Campion's Holy Smoke, which
starred Kate Winslet and Harvey Keitel.
His TV appearances include the made for TV movie
Hart to Hart Downunder
with Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers, Sir
Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World, Water Rats, All Saints, GP, A
Country Practice, Coronation Street and Sons and Daughters.
Paul’s
theater credits comprise Angels in America,
The School for Scandal, Saint Joan, Moby Dick and
Betrayal. He
has won awards for his work in Angels In America and as The Emcee in the
Kander/Ebb musical Cabaret. He is a graduate of Australia's National
Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA)
Paul
was born in the United Kingdom and now resides in Australia where he owns cows.
